Post-Graduate Training
He is a graduate of the L. D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education Training. This center in Florida is dedicated to intense training of dentists in complex restorative dentistry and aesthetics. If you research this institute online, you’ll learn that it may well be the most respected post-graduate training institute in the country for dentists dedicated to quality, life-changing dentistry.
For additional post-graduate training, he graduated from the Esthetic Continuum at the Louisiana State University Dental School, both levels I and II.
After that, he pursued accreditation in cosmetic dentistry through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. While many dentists offer cosmetic dentistry services, only ten dentists in the State of Louisiana have passed the rigorous examinations required to earn this accreditation credential. Those examinations include a written exam, the submission of a full spectrum of clinical cases, capped with an oral exam. Many dentists try and fail these examinations. Many others are intimidated by the process and don’t attempt it.
Out of his desire to become an expert in implant dentistry services, he then joined the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and attended their training meetings. With the completion of 100 hours of training and the submission of twenty successful implant cases to their evaluation committee, he earned his fellowship with that organization.
Continuing Education
Dr. Brooksher has continued with this post-graduate training, and each year he participates in at least 70 hours of continuing education—more than four times what is required by the state of Louisiana—including training courses and study clubs for general, implant, and cosmetic dentistry.
